Perceptive Pixel (Multitouch)
This is about a technology that we should not merely anticipate, but drive towards in IFCU v2. Basically, it’s the best part of Minority Report, and what’s particularly interesting is that multitouch displays inherently support multiple users at one time. Obviously, this sort of thing would have to be an on-the-ground feature. The demo is remarkable.
Why on the ground? If you have an iPhone or touch iPod, you can do simple things right now. Fantastic to be able to download a class that actually utilizes those features.
True, and the Macbook Air has gestures built into its trackpad. However, these are the extreme high end of what our students will be using, and I’m particularly thinking about how good it would be to install some of these fuckers at the crashpad in, say Rwanda.
